Shopee Malaysia voucher guide: how to stack every voucher on sale day (2026)

The three slots

Since 27 February 2025, Shopee’s own help centre says a checkout can carry up to three types of voucher: at least one Shop Voucher, one Free Shipping Discount, and one Platform Voucher. Combining two vouchers of the same type is not allowed.

The detail most people miss: a bank voucher and a Shopee discount voucher cannot both be used. They share the platform slot. On a RM100 basket, a bank voucher worth RM15 beats a RM10 Shopee voucher, so claim both and let checkout pick, but only expect one to apply.

Shopee Coins are separate. Flip the coins switch in the cart and 100 coins knock RM1 off, up to 50% of the payable amount or 3,000 coins per order (3,000 a day, 15,000 a week). Cashback vouchers pay out in coins after the order completes, so they help the next purchase, not this one.

What each voucher actually does

Shopee discount vouchers take a fixed amount or a percentage off, usually with a minimum spend and a cap. Shopee’s help centre says vouchers are applied automatically based on the best available discount, so if a voucher you claimed is not showing, a better one probably replaced it.

Cashback vouchers return a percentage as Shopee Coins after delivery. A 15% cashback voucher on RM10 gives 150 coins. Good for regular buyers; useless if you only shop on sale days.

Bank vouchers are entered as a promo code on the voucher page and can only be used once, one per person per household, and only on orders under Shopee Guarantee. Pay with the exact card or method named or the voucher drops off.

Shop vouchers come from the seller. Look for the orange voucher label on the product page and the Follow voucher on the shop’s home page. Claiming does not use it; it sits in your wallet until checkout.

New-user vouchers live in the New User Zone. You get exactly one first-purchase benefit: the rebate voucher, the free-shipping voucher, a ShopeeFood voucher or a mobile reload promo. Using one voids the rest.

ShopeeVIP is a paid tier (RM4.50 a month after a free trial, per Shopee’s 4.4 2026 release) that auto-credits daily 18% off vouchers, weekly 30% and 12% vouchers and no-minimum free shipping. Worth it only if you order several times a week.

Sale-day timing

Shopee does not publish a fixed schedule, but its 2025 and 2026 campaign releases follow a pattern:

• 8pm the evening before D-day: the sale kicks off and bank vouchers open (1.1, 8.8 and 9.9 2026).
• 12am on D-day: daily free-shipping vouchers and the first voucher batch (7.7 and 8.8 2026).
• 12am, 12pm and 8pm on D-day: Knockout vouchers (RM900 to RM1,111 in 2025 campaigns) and hourly drops, first come first served.
• Crazy Voucher Drops every 10 minutes during stated windows (2.2 and May-15 2026).
• Shopee Live game shows at 12pm and 8pm, or 1pm and 8pm, with vouchers only claimable in the stream.

For reference, 9.9 2026 partners were BSN (RM8.60 no minimum; RM20 off RM150), Mastercard (RM15 off RM100) and AEON Credit (RM20 off RM120). Expect a similar line-up for 10.10; Wiser updates this table when Shopee announces it.

Mistakes that cost money

1. Claiming a bank voucher and a Shopee voucher and expecting both. Only one applies.
2. Splitting a basket into two checkouts to use two shipping vouchers, then paying two minimum spends.
3. Using the new-user rebate on a RM20 order when the free-shipping voucher would have saved more.
4. Cancelling an order to “re-do” it with a better voucher. Shopee does not reissue vouchers on cancelled orders.
5. Forgetting to toggle coins. They are off by default in the cart.
