Wiser checked the official Malaysian stores and the retailers that actually show a price for five earbuds under RM150. Two of them have real noise cancelling. One costs more today than its launch promo price, which is the wrong direction. Here is where every ringgit goes.

The Edifier X2 Pro is the only pair here with ANC, multipoint, Bluetooth 6.0, IP55 and 49 hours of battery, and it is RM149 on Edifier's own Malaysian store today. The Redmi Buds 6 Lite gives you 40 dB ANC, IP54 and 38 hours for RM89, which nothing else on this list matches per ringgit. Skip the realme Buds T200 Lite at RM119: no ANC, only IPX4, and it launched at RM79 on promo, so wait for it to drop back under RM90.
Every pair on this list can be ordered in Malaysia today. Wiser took the price from the brand’s own Malaysian store where it shows one (Edifier, realme) and from a Malaysian retailer where the brand site hides the price behind a script (Xiaomi, soundcore). Specs come from the official product pages, not from marketplace listings that copy them.
The list deliberately spans RM59 to RM149, because “under RM150” means different things to a student and to someone replacing AirPods.
Noise cancelling is the dividing line. Under RM100, real ANC used to be rare. The Redmi Buds 6 Lite changed that at RM89, and the Edifier X2 Pro adds multipoint and Bluetooth 6.0 at RM149. If you commute by LRT or work in an open office, spend on ANC before anything else.
Battery claims are with ANC off. Edifier’s 49 hours becomes 44 with ANC on. Xiaomi’s 38 hours is the case total; the buds themselves last about 7 hours. Both are fine for a work day.
Codec does not matter much here. Four of the five are SBC or AAC. At this price the driver and tuning matter more than the codec, and none of these are LDAC anyway.
Fit decides comfort. The soundcore K20i is semi-in-ear with no silicone tips. Some people love that; everyone else will find it leaks sound on the bus. The other four are standard in-ear.
Edifier ran a Shopee-exclusive RM139 promo on the X2 Pro in September, reported by Lowyat.NET, which Wiser could not verify on the store page. If you see RM139 or lower on Shopee, that is the buy. The Redmi Buds 6 Lite has been RM89 or under at several retailers all month, so there is no need to wait for a sale day.
The realme Buds T200 Lite is a good pair of earbuds at the wrong price. It launched at RM79. At RM119 you are paying RM30 more than the Redmi for no ANC. Wait.
