A white sneaker is the most-worn shoe most Malaysians own, and the most-replaced. Wiser checked the official Malaysian stores of the big brands, plus Bata and Sports Direct, for five pairs under RM200 that are in stock right now. Two are on deep markdown. One is priced like a classic but is not the classic.

The PUMA is the only truly unisex pick, sold on the brand's own Malaysian site, with a rubber outsole and a SoftFoam+ insole, and at RM132.30 it undercuts even Bata. The Skechers Cordova at RM89 is a 76% markdown with a memory-foam insole, but it is women's only and final sale, so know your size. The Vans Ward is the priciest shoe here with two sizes in stock, and white canvas is the hardest upper to keep clean; wait for a deeper cut or save a little more for an Authentic.
Every shoe was priced on a page Wiser could open on 22 September 2026: PUMA, adidas, Skechers and Bata on their own Malaysian stores, the Vans at Sports Direct because the official Vans Malaysia store was under maintenance. Nike Malaysia had no adult white sneaker under RM200 at all, and Converse blocks price checks, so the Chuck Taylor is not here even though it belongs in the conversation.
Under RM200 means synthetic. None of the five has a real leather upper. Synthetic leather (PUMA, Skechers, adidas, Bata) wipes clean and does not crease as badly as cheap leather; canvas (Vans) breathes better but stains first and yellows fastest. If you want the shoe to stay white, avoid canvas.
Sale price is the real price. Three of the five are 30% to 76% off. That is normal for sneakers in Malaysia; a markdown is not a reason to rush, but a full-price synthetic shoe is a reason to look elsewhere, which is why Bata sits fourth.
Sizing is the trap. The Skechers is women’s only. The Vans had two sizes left. Bata was missing UK 8, the most common men’s size. Check your size is in stock before you fall in love with a price.
Clearance means no returns. The Skechers is final sale. At RM89 it is still the best value on the list, but only if you already know your Skechers size.
Office and dinner: PUMA. Walking the whole day: Skechers, if the size works. Weekend look with joggers: adidas. Cheapest pair from a shop you can walk into: Bata. The Vans Ward is the one Wiser would not buy today; at RM195 it is close to what an Authentic costs on sale, and the Authentic is the shoe people actually want.
